Spotting during first trimester?

Have you had spotting in your first trimester and everything turned out fine? I spotted a small amount of red blood on January 31st at 7weeks4 days. I went to ER and my cervix was closed and all the doc could see was old blood. Since then I’ve had 2 ultrasounds and saw baby and a strong heartbeat, but I’m still having brown spotting off and on. Is this ok? I’m now 8 weeks 5 days

I had spotting on and off throughout my whole pregnancy with my daughter.  With it being brown that means old blood and wouldn’t worry to much.  I would keep your OB informed of everything though.  I am pregnant now with another girl and have had no spotting at all and will be 15 weeks.

Yep I actually spotted three times in the first trimester with my first and my second(current) I spotted in the second
