Which recliner are you guys getting for your nursery??? Electric? Rocker? 🧐🧐

I have a glider and ottoman that I love. I do also have a nice comfy recliner in our living room, though. However, that glider was super nice.

Rocker recliner for us. Our first rocker recliner lasted for 10 years and then we got another for our second son (big age gap between first two sons) and are going to use it for this baby. Love it! I’m paranoid about the electrical components going out and it being useless after that.

The Merced glider and ottoman from Potterybarn. We used it for our first and it’s still in perfect condition. I keep a blanket draped over it to protect it from spit up and milk stains, but the fabric is “performance” fabric which doesn’t stain easily. My son threw up all over the ottoman when he was 15 months and there’s not even the hint of a stain. My husband and I are tall (both around 6ft) so I had trouble finding a glider with a high enough back, but this one works perfectly. It’s also not terribly wide, so it works in a nursery with limited space.

We have this one. We received it as a gift from my brother & sister in law when we had our daughter 2 years ago. We absolutely love it & plan to use it this time around as well.

I wouldn't go with electric. After you spend so much time getting the baby to sleep the last thing you want is to have the noise of lowering a recliner wake the baby. We went with a glider and ottoman.

I got a rocker that I love! I used it every night with my first from 6 months to 2 yrs old. My mom told me it’s important that you can get in and out of it easily with no hands and I agree! I’m a petite person so I got a small chair and it’s perfect. It did cost like 450$ tho but I got it new from a baby store. I had a larger recliner style rocking chair in my living room and I had to keep it stacked with pillows cause it was tough to get out of with a baby in my hands.
