Will losing weight help?

Will losing weight help my partner become more attractive to me? He has depression and we hardly have sex (1-3x monthly). I'm 165 at 5'5 I'm.a bit over weight. Anyone go through this?

Sweetie it may not be your weight, it may just be that he’s messing with other people, it may be that he’s already masturbated, it may be that he’s got depression and the last thing on his mind is sex, it may be that he’s having a problem keeping an erection, maybe he’s having performance anxiety, maybe it has nothing to do with your body and it has to do with him. If you want to lose weight do it for yourself and not because you want him to like you. He should never have to look for validation from your partner or acceptance.  If it is not freely given, that’s not the part for you. And you deserve better. You’re basically begging him to love you. He’s using this as a form of manipulation to have the ball in his court and control everything. You’re literally chasing after this man for him to love you. If he doesn’t want you then walk away. And stop wasting your time, work on yourself inside and out, and find someone who loves you for who you are. The guy I’m with I’ve known 20 years. Whether I was 350 pounds or I was 250 pounds or any weight, that man adored me every inch of me. He tells me he wishes I would walk around naked more often, he loves going down on me and can do it for hours, that man wants more than anything to please me in any possible way that he can. He is gaga for me, that man adores me and has me on a pedestal and I return exactly the same to him. He is amazing in my eyes and gorgeous and sexy and I completely him and all of him. We are like best friends. He knows he knows me from my breathing if I’m turned on or anything he notices everything I sent him a picture of me and he says you look thinner, I said I lost 6 pounds he says I can tell. 6 pounds he notices from a picture of my face. He can read my mind basically even when we’re having sex. I went five rounds with him today And I was on top twice. Within a three hour span, that may can go so many rounds, and we probably could’ve done more, if we had the time￼￼￼. Even when I was my lowest emotionally, after two miscarriages, I’ve had a rough life, he loves and excepts every part of my life. I was sexually abused as a child, I was an alcoholic by the age of 12, I was cutting and burning myself, every eating disorder, I was a stripper, I was a dominatrix, every relationship I was ever in was abusive in some sort of way. I was cheated on by every single guy or used or abused. It took me a long time to find a good guy. Wait for a good guy stop settling for this person. Never allow loneliness or desperation to be the reason that You settle for less than you deserve. Stop tolerating the bullshit, if he doesn’t want you, stop wasting your time. Wait for someone who adores every inch of you.￼

Depression is a mental illness. It can affect you in so many ways. Sex drive one of these things. 
Find ways to help him out of his depression. Please don't put pressure on him for lower sex drive, can only make it worse. 
I help my boyfriend out of his and his sex drive if same as mine now. I got him back into things he enjoyed.
