Choroid plexus cyst
I had my anatomy ultrasound yesterday (at 19 weeks) and they found an isolated choroid plexus cyst in my baby’s brain. My midwife explained that because our genetic testing came back normal and everything else looks totally fine, that the cyst is nothing to worry about and is actually considered a “normal variant.” In looking through some posts about this though, it seems like plenty of women who had this experience were given the option of more ultrasounds, and I wasn’t because they said it isn’t medically necessary. Has anyone else been given that response?
