So ftm here trying to navigate all this new stuff setting up my hospital bag sterilizing bottles and binkies and just trying to get ready... so today I went to an appointment I’m 36 weeks 6 days and doctor asks me if I would like to get induced on the beginning week 39 which would be Feb 24 for me. I immediately say no for now I would try to go into labor naturally he says ok great and we go on with the appointment. So my question is is there any benefits to being induced? I really don’t have a medical reason to get induced but I kind of would like to get induced because my hospital doesn’t allow me to go get preregistration until 3 days before my due date/induction/delivery order. So I am afraid that if I do it naturally I won’t be able to preregister and my bill will go up higher than it needs to be (I will be paying out of pocket/ I have no insurance) . So any advice for me?? Would you get induced at 39 weeks without a medical reason? If yes why and if no why not?

Also I haven’t really gotten my cervix checked or anything like that so I have no info on that. Next week on my appt I will be getting an ultrasound to see the size and position of the baby

Also what should I include in my hospital bag and what do I need to take for baby... ahh ok so lost
