How y’all twin moms answer this ridiculous comment? It’s like they have twins cause their kids are close in age

Every pregnancy and child is different. My friend has twins and a singleton and she found both the pregnancy, birth abd first 12 months with the singleton much more difficult. I’d just be understanding that having children in general can be a difficult experience abd just leave the comment.

It’s not the same at all, but people just don’t understand what it’s like to have twins unless they have them.

It depends on my mood or who’s saying it. Some people have good intentions and are just trying to relate.
Most times I just ignore the question completely and act like they didn’t say anything and change the subject.
Sometimes I say something along the lines of “oh, you carried two babies in your uterus and had two newborns at the exact same time? What a coincidence! Me too.”
Sometimes I say “no, it’s really not.” And try to move the conversation along.

My house is a literal circus 24/7. That's what it's like to have twins. The ones who don't have them will never fully understand.
