BC pill and hair loss

I’ve been on the pill for 18 years besides when I went off to have my child. But it seems in the past 4 months I’m losing my hair like mad. Anyone have this happen from birth control? My child is 4 and I did have some hair loss after giving birth but it was never like this. Going to the doctor soon but I feel like my thick hair is disappearing at an alarming rate. Thanks!
