Should I get my first ultrasound around 7w?

Question

My first midwife appointment is tomorrow, I’ll be 6w 2d. I’m starting the process early because I’ve had two miscarriages so I’m obviously anxious. 
If I were to schedule an ultrasound next week when I’m 7 weeks would it be worth it? Like would I see much? Or do you ladies recommend waiting until I’m 8? 
I’ll also ask the midwife tomorrow just looking for personal opinions 🥰

I was scanned at 7 weeks. I should have been 8 weeks going by LMP but I ovulated late I guess. Baby looked like a blob and we could barely see the heartbeat. Little tiny flicker barely visible. Everything looked great though. I would wait until closer to 8 weeks if you can

Seeing a heartbeat reduces the risk immensely and you should see it at 7 weeks so I’d do that if it helps your anxiety

I went in thinking I was 8w but I was measuring at 7w2d. I had an abdominal scan and could see and hear a heart beat ☺️ x

7.5 weeks or greater is the most reliable time to hear a heart beat.

At 7 weeks, assuming your dates are correct, you should be able to see baby and a heart beat. I would schedule it for peace of mind. However, if your dates are wrong, keep in mind you may not see as much.
