Should you care about your husbands opinion?

Should your husbands opinion affect you? Say they think your looking a little chunky, is it wrong to let that bother you? Or say they don’t trust your driving even if you have a clean driving record, is it bad that your affected by this?

If my husband ever said that to me that would be the last time he could speak. His jaw would be wired shut. 
If I ever bring up my weight (I do often) my husband is supportive and tells me whatever I want to do he will do with me. He also finds workouts for me online that we can try together after I give birth. He will never be disrespectful because he isn’t cruel

I do care about my husbands opinions about me because I of course want him to think the highest of me. 
He always talks about how shitty my driving is, duah it’s offensive but oh well that’s why I always get to sit in the passengers sit and relax & with road trips when he asked me to drive I say no and remind him how “bad of a driver I am” lol
The chunky thing would upset me as I’m super sensitive about that topic I was bulimic for 7 years, I would explain to him it’s not something to joke about and it hurts you

My husband said he would tell me if he thinks I'm gaining too much, and I agreed to do the same for him. We want us to stay physically attracted to each other. I tell my husband all the time I'm a better driver than him. He knows it's true haha.

Your husbands opinion shouldn’t change how you feel about yourself, but that doesn’t mean it won’t/can’t. This is why we as partners should be lifting eachother up because we DO care about what they think, which is normal.  
So if he’s making you feel bad all the time I would talk to him about it and if he doesn’t change and it’s taking a toll on you then you may have to take more drastic measures. 
My husbands opinion of me has made me more secure in myself, but it could just as easily do the opposite.

I wanna know if he thinks I’m gaining weight and idc what he says about my driving because I talk about his driving all the time. These seem to be very small things and nothing to be getting mad about unless he’s being nasty or rude to you. He can discuss these things with you without being mean or rude to you.
