Will I go into labor early?

Here’s the scoop: I have diet controlled gestational diabetes. So I am being induced one week early around March 9th. Due date is March 16th.
That being said I have been losing my mucus plug for a few days and at the beginning of the week my doctor informed me that I am already 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced. 
Do you guys think I will go into labor early? We are moving into our new house in 6 days! So if she could just wait one more week that would be amazing!

You could. With my first I was dilated to a 1 on Friday and had her by Tuesday. 
But it really depends on a ton of things. I’m 36 weeks and have been dilated since 34 weeks. 
Moving will probably help get her out lpl

There’s really no way to know. I always dilate early, with all three girls I was at least at a 4 by 35 weeks and 50%, I had my first two at 38 weeks so I’m expecting the same this time but we’ll see!

Maybe. Everyone is different. I was 1cm and 50 to 60% effaced with my first at my 38 week appointment. I was induced at 40+4.

Sounds like its slowly happening already? Congratulations!? My due date is the same as yours and today is my checkup to scan and see if baby is turned properly for labor! I think your in the safe zone, don't worry too much. It's best if baby stays in your belly the full 9 months of course, but they don't always agree!! Xoxo

You can lose your mucous plug and be 4cm dilated for weeks before labour happens, but being dilated will make induction much easier, so that's a good thing 😊
