Absolutely. Ive gotten positives at 9 dpo, 10 dpo and 12 dpo for different pregnancies. All were negative at 8 dpo.

Well 8 dpo is very early. Best to wait until around 12dpo and on to test.

Yes- I didn’t get a BFP until 10dpo.

Ive never gotten a positive earlier than 10dpo and with my second pregnancy they were still faint enough for me to consider that they were evap lines instead of a positive (on 3+ tests)
