8 months or newborn? 🤣

Question

My baby Salem is 8 months old, and he still wants to be swaddled while sleeping. also, he doesn't want to hold his bottle by himself, although I know he can. 
 What do you think mommies?

  Now he sleeps without being swaddled and OMG he sleeps way better, before he used to wake up every 2 hours but now he sleeps longer stretches 🎉
  For the bottle holding he still doesn't want to, I think maybe because I give him his bottle when his really sleepy 🤔 he never wants a bottle when he's up and active, he wants it only before his naps and sleep time.

The only issue with being swaddled is safe baby sleep. Babies shouldn't be swaddled after they're able to roll over because if they roll and are swaddled they can't push their heads up and could suffocate. Always encourage moms to transition to one arm out as soon as baby can roll over and then both arms out. Also, it's recommended that baby has no pillows, blankets or stuffed animals in the crib for the same safety reasons. 💕

My baby girl doesn't want to hold her bottle either. She can do it. And she will do it if I don't give it to her fast enough, but she would much rather me feed her. She is 9 months old. 
And to be honest.. this is my bond with her. I could not breastfeed due to her lip tie, so I use this time as our bonding time. I WILL hold her bottle until she is off them. I will cradle her until she no longer wants to be cradled.. she is only a baby once. And I do not want to miss a second of it, since I did with my first born when I had to be hospitalized due to my PPD.

Stop the swaddling and encourage him to use his bottle himself

I would stop the swaddle and leave 5he bottle next to him, he'll grab it lol. Don't set him back in his milestones

I think if baby still likes to be swaddled there’s nothing wrong with it but the bottle holding, I would tell him hold your bottle and let it go go he can grab it. You don’t want to be holding his bottle at 1yr old.

He’s a real cutie! Something to look out for: my mom used to let me go to bed with a bottle and I had such bad tooth decay that it stained my 2 front permanent teeth that hadn’t even come in yet. The sugars in the milk/formula aren’t good to have lingering in babies mouths over night.
