Is it normal for milk to come out of my breast on their own but not when I squeeze my nipples??

Randomly milk shoots out lol (I understand that’s normal) but if I were to squeeze my nipples nothing comes out! Any reason why? I’m just making it clear I don’t constantly squeeze my nipples, I know the risks it has. I laid down tonight and milk shot out lol😂😂 after that I gently squeezed my nipples to see if it would happen again in case i would need to get out my breast pads.
