ttc with fibroid

hi there, ive been ttc for 17 months now and just had a pelvic ultrasound done. they found a 2.2cm fibroid on my uterus and a small cyst in my right Fallopian tube. the fibroid has caused my cervix to be pinched closed which explains not being able to conceive. Im going to have to get a laparoscopy soon. Has anyone else had one? What can I expect? Did you conceive quickly after?
