I just started taking progesterone to reset my system so I can have a period, then start clomid.

Little background, I had two years of secondary infertility which ended last January when we conceived our beautiful son who was stillborn at 21 weeks in June. In July we conceived again, only to learn it was ectopic. It was treated by MTX.

I was finally negative on HCG test in October and have been waiting. I haven’t ovulated since we conceived in July. So I’ve been tracking, and after a clear HSG and normal blood tests, we were going to start clomid after my next period. Well, my period never came. So we started Progesterone to induce a period, and a week in, I had a very clear positive OPK, which I haven’t since the ectopic.

My question is: Is it just picking up on my hormones changing or is there a chance the progesterone was what my body needed to ovulate?

Has anyone had this happen?
