How often do you think of divorce ?

I’m married and I love my husband and our kids... but it’s life and there’s always bumps in the road. Idk why but when we are having a rough patch I always think about divorce. I wouldn’t act on it and quite honestly the problem usually doesn’t warrant a divorce ...yet I still find myself thinking how my life would be different if I’d throw in the towel. I can’t be the only one?

I think it’s only human nature to look at your life in different angles, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. I think we’re reminded when there’s a fight in our relationship, when we see others on social media who have different lives than us, or if we’re just lost in thought. Sometimes my husband and I will talk about where we think we’d be if we didn’t stay together or didn’t end up getting together in the first place. It’s kind of fun and interesting to talk about that with each other and to talk about where you think your spouse might be in life. There are so many different paths we choose in life. If you think about it often, ask yourself what’s missing in your life? A little more freedom, a hobby, career change, or maybe a change within yourself? I feel it’s part of growing by reflecting who we are and how our relationships change.

Same. Then when I calm myself down I’m like what? Really. It’s not that bad. We have not been meshing communication wise since having a baby and assuming how the other is feeling. We were fine the 5 years prior. Hoping this is just growing pains with the new role as parents

It’s normal to think of your alternate options and to be able to know you’ll be able to catch your own self if you fall. There’s nothing wrong with it. I sometimes, in the rough patches, question my relationship. Don’t feel bad ❤️❤️
