Ear cleaning

Has anyone used this to clean their tiny tot's ears? My tiny has been blessed with extra earwax. We usually go in to the ped to get it cleaned frequently, but I want to just start possibly do it at home instead. It is starting to get in the way of her speech (can't hear herself) and it'd be nice to be able to help her ASAP instead of waiting on our appointment.

Is it easy to use? Right now her ped said to do a mixture for her ears but it seems to barely help.
