What are you wearing to deliver baby?

Question

I was not planning on buying a robe specifically to wear at the hospital. Will I regret that?
Also wondering if I’ll regret not having a robe to breast feed while in the hospital?
I definitely want to do skin to skin right after I deliver but I thought I could still do that with the gown the hospital provides🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ve never brought anything specific to wear while laboring. I get there, change into the hospital gown, rip it off during transition (yea I did that with both labors) and deliver naked. 😂 then when I get up and go to the bathroom I get a fresh gown and wear that for a bit till I get showered and what not then change into some comfy pants, tank and a light robe I got from target with my first. I don’t normally do robes but I do like them for the hospital to stick baby down my shirt and wrap us both up in the robe. You can definitely nurse and do skin to skin in the hospital gown. They have snaps along the shoulder seams. The main reason I change out of them is they’re HUGE and I’m 5’1” and petite so they HANG off me and it’s really annoying.

I was naked down under but did wear a nursing bra for both of my two births and plan to do the same for my third. Afterwards, I was naked on top for nursing and mesh undies down under and wore hospital gown the entire time.

I wore a robe I brought from home for a majority of my stay. Just because the doctors were constantly having to check me and push on my stomach and i breastfed it made things a lot easier. I’m planning on buying one for my sons birth and our stay in the hospital

I didn’t for my last 2 pregnancy & don’t regret it . I’ll probably buy one with this pregnancy just because of covid , I know i won’t get it by just wearing the hospital ones & they are pretty clean but mentally I would feel more at easy with one of my own

U won’t be wearing a robe when u deliver. U can bring one for nursing if that’s how u feel comfortable. I took a couple pair of button down pajama sets, so i could nurse easily and I still felt cute with my matching set lol

I personally bought 3 long nightgowns that button at the top and are super comfy and then bought really comfy pants to wear under them. Robes annoy me and never stay closed. I bought a similar one when we had our first and I was still wearing it and still do 4 years later.

I was totally naked both times, so much more comfortable than those dang hospital gowns 😅 
After delivery I just wore a nursing bra and sweatpants.

I brought comfy sweats for after I gave birth and never wore them. I stayed in the hospital gowns the whole time I was there. I didn’t want to risk getting blood or anything else on my own personal clothes.

I used the gowns and robes from the hospital. I had a c-section so I was in the hospital for 2 nights. I pretty much just had the gown draped over my chest.
With all the blood and stuff I was pretty happy to use the hospital provided ones as I could ask for a clean one as I wanted.
