Ftm baby movement

I’m about to be 18 weeks and I’ve been feeling baby kicks since 16weeks and last week I started feeling them even more and they are stronger. I seen some say a ftm can’t feel baby movements until after 20weeks cause baby is 2ounces at 17weeks. My baby was 4 ounces at 14weeks.... my doctor definitely wasn’t concerned. I’m pretty sure he weighs way more now. I know I’m feeling baby move cause after I press down to get him to move he moves, just curious on why people Are saying ftm can’t feel kicks this early.
