Washing baby clothes before use ?

Hey how many of you wash your baby’s clothes before first use  ? How important is that ? & is it truly necessary?

It’s pretty important. They spray clothes with all kinds of chemicals in the store

I always wash new clothes before using for everyone in the family. Get off all the chemicals that it could have been sprayed with like formaldehyde. It also could have been dropped on the floor etc.

I always wash new clothes not just for baby. You never know where they were or who touched them 🤐

If they're new, I wash them because if all the chemicals and all the dirty hands and places it might have touched before getting to my home. If they're used, it depends who I got them from. If I don't know the people I wash it too. If I do know them and I know what detergent they use, I don't wash it. One of my daughters has excema and contact dermatitis, so there are only specific detergents that work for her. 
I wash all new clothes first. Not just babies but also mine, hubby's and those of our older kids.

I didn't do it with my first and his skin was fine. I'm not sure if I will do it this time around either. But I'm the only person I know that didn't do it haha, all my family and friends all washed theirs before hand.

I wash everything! New and hand-me-downs.

I try to wash everything before my son wears it. Sometimes laundry day comes and the new clothes are the only clean things, so I’ll put them on him. 
I like to wash it so it smells like our stuff and gets all the packaging and factory smells off of them.
