When to go to the doctor

I got a vfl today. My AF is due Saturday. When do you call the doctor to verify a pregnancy? I know I need to wait a few weeks.

I called right after I got my positive and they set up an appointment to confirm right away, and at that appointment they set up my first ultrasound and prenatal appointment for a few weeks after.

I got my bfp at 8dpo on a Saturday, called my doctor to tell her at 10dpo on Monday, had my first blood test to confirm the next day at 11 dpo / 2 days before AF was due.
