Can a fall on ice hurt the baby?

I'm in my second trimester and fell on a patch of ice at work today. I landed on the side of my butt and had my arm stretched out to have my palm catch the ground. Everyone at work was very concerned and made sure I didn't have to do much walking today. I'm nervous that even a small fall like that could hurt the baby. I didn't feel any pain, just a really small ache on my butt from the hard ground but it lasted a few seconds after walking again.

My OB’s office says for falls to always call and consult but it’s unlikely your fall caused enough trauma to the stomach/uterus to harm the baby. 
My doctors “rules of thumb” are to call for falls and go to the ER for car accidents. Pretty much anything else (you other child falling on you, walking into something, etc) isn’t enough to harm baby. 
There are always exceptions. If you ever have severe cramping or bleeding, always call!

Baby is fine. I slipped from 3 stairs landed on my butt (thank God) and everything was fine. Baby is very well protected in our bodies!

I fell at 20weeks in the tub and landed on my butt and hit my ribs .. I called and they said it’s likely just fine if I didn’t hit my belly. You can always call and ask your doctor but more than likely the baby is perfectly fine. They’re well protected in there
