Was your Sneakpeek Gender test accurate? If you don’t mind, please leave a comment of how far along you were when you took it!

Question

I did a Sneakpeek gender test with my first pregnancy and it was right (said boy, was a boy). The website (of course) claims 99% accuracy, but I want to hear from sources/people outside the website. I know sometimes they’re inconclusive. I’m just wondering how trustworthy they are when they ARE conclusive. Especially interested in the ones that said girl and were actually boys-how far along were you when you took the test? Thanks!!

So I just included gender in my NIPT but from what I understand it’s the same process. They look for male DNA. When it’s present in the blood it’s a boy, when it’s not it’s a girl however because you can do the sneak peek At home, results can be contaminated very easily if there’s a male in the home. People tend to get more inaccurate boy results because of this but I think a lot of those places that do elective ultrasound also offer these in a sanitized lab setting so they’re more guaranteed accurate that way!

I sent my kit in for analysis when I was 9 weeks pregnant. Got results of a girl. I did the Harmony test with my provider about a week and a half ago and my results were a girl. I was 19 weeks then. My provider said when you have a result of a male, there is more room for error because there could have been male DNA picked up from a surface maybe that wasn’t cleaned well enough or from a male pet. If you get results for a female then they’re usually pretty accurate.
