Is this normal?

I am 4 weeks pregnant and have gotten 4 positive pregnancy tests. I called my doctor after I found out and they scheduled me for an appointment on March 31st. 
They did not however schedule me for any labs or anything to confirm the pregnancy. Is this normal? This is my first pregnancy so I do not know but it feels like torture to not even be able to know if my hcg is doubling.

Normal, they typically only check your blood early if you have a history of miscarriage or something else tht is concerning. Most first appointments are between 8-12weeks.

Yep I always go to the doc around 12 weeks. And they ordered labs after that too. 3 pregnancies.

I never had any blood draws for hcg levels when I was pregnant with my daughter

I went to confirm my pregnancy at 3w5d didn’t get my first labs done till 9w

With mine they never tracked my hcg levels. 
They did a blood test around 8 weeks that just said that I was pregnant.

yeah, i was actually seen until 9 weeks. i did have hcg lab work done before that (very early on) bc i was spotting. maybe ask your OB if they can at least check your hcg? it doesn’t hurt to ask.
