Proposals at weddings.
I just don't get it.
My husband and I were at a wedding last month (yes it was covid friendly and the rules were adhered to!) and someone got engaged during the reception. I just find it weird to take away a couple's thunder like that. Even if the bride and groom knew it was going to happen, I still feel like there are 364 other days in a year to propose. Why do it at someone else's wedding when really we are all there to celebrate THEM and not YOU??
Would you be ok with someone doing that at your wedding? Or was that done at your wedding? Maybe you were the one who got engaged at someone's wedding?
What's your take on this??
I mean if it was MY wedding day, I would be mad. I would think its in poor taste.
