Thoughts on maiden names as middle names?

We most my mother in law unexpectedly in December. Her maiden name was Engel (en-jel). We’ve though of using it as our daughters middle name.. thoughts? We aren’t big fans of her first name so we kind of landed there..

Engel means Angel in German. Since it’s a middle name, you could stick with Engel, or you could still honor her by using Angela, Angelina, or Angelica.

Our last baby, which is our second son, will have my grandmothers maiden name as his middle name.
