What could this be ?

Hey everyone! So my son just got these little red dots all over his face and neck .. it started yesterday and won’t go away. I been putting  Aquaphor on it but I’m curious what could this be ?? Or is there anything else i could use for it ??

That looks like an allergy or a viral infection. 
I’d personally take them in.

Viral rash. My son had rhinovirus for about 5 weeks. It was hell. Nothing you can do but pain relief and lots and lots of cuddles. 
I found that if he got too hot or after a warm bath, it looked a lot worse. Keep baby nice and cool and don’t “scrub” the skin when bathing. Just kind of pat it. Then it won’t aggravate the skin. The rash didn’t bother him. Just looks bad
