I’m officially at my goal weight

li

I’ll put some back story because people always ask.

last year I went to every doctor I have and I was like.. listen. I wake up at 5am to run. I live and breathe vegetables and water. I cut carbs, I watch calories. I have been doing this for a year.

I am still 4’11 and almost 200 lbs

I was diagnosed with PCOS and an insulin resistance due to PCOS

While my doctor was explaining how that worked I said “so I could basically live off carrots, and my body would take every bit of sugar from that and turn it straight to fat instead of energy so that’s why I’m overweight and feel like shit?” “Yes.”

He put me on metformin to make my body work like it’s supposed to. It’s not a weight loss drug, it’s a diabetic drug.

I stayed up with my lifestyle habits, I still eat well to this day and work out.

I asked him what a GOOD healthy weight for me would be for my height. He said 120.

Well baby HERE IT IS.

120 lbs

My doctor saw my at my one year metformin check and DID NOT RECOGNIZE ME. He then read my chart and gave me a high five and shook my hand lmfao

I forgot the number. I have officially dropped 71 lbs.

I also want to add here. 71 lbs is like a whole 4th grader that just fell off me. My body feels sooo much better. Carrying around that extra weight killed my knees and back, and now that my body works correctly, I have my energy back. I just all around feel better. I have more confidence. It was so defeating to be trying SO SO hard to lose weight with zero results. I just kept gaining and felt like crap 24/7 I’m so glad I found a doctor that actually cares about his patients because I went into detail about how it was mentally affecting me and he was like alright I’m on it to try to figure this out.

It wasn’t GREAT to be diagnosed with PCOS, I hope I can still have babies some day soon.

But, I am so glad that know what the issue is now. My entire life has changed.

Because of metformin I also get my period every month too! So that’s a neat benefit. I’m not going 5 months with no period and that means it may not be so hard for me to have my babies. I’m very grateful.
