Where is your baby’s car seat?

I just made this post but deleted it and decided to do a poll for it instead.  
Where does everyone keep their baby’s car seat? The middle or one of the end seats? I have my son in the middle because I heard that’s safest but it’s getting extremely hard to get him in and out of the car now that he’s heavier and my car is kinda tall and I’m short. I want to move him to the end once he’s out of the infant seat but is that safe? Which is the safest? I heard the middle but i don’t know if it’s true or not. And obviously if you have more than one child they have to be on the end

The “middle is safest” thing isn’t actually true. The safest place to put your car seat is where you get the best install so you may get the best install on one of the outboard seats or you may get the best install in the middle. People say the middle is safest because in the event you get t-boned but you can’t prepare for an accident so when putting the car seat in it’s best to just do it where you get the best install. Baby is safe in any of the back seats as long as the seat is installed according to the manufacturer and they are harnessed in properly

Personally I always did what was most convenient. There’s pros and cons to all. I now have one in each 😂

I have my son on the drivers side as I don’t drive so I can lean back if I’m sitting in the front

I have my LO in the middle. I initially had my LO on the passenger side, but our Ped recommended the middle because less damage can be taken there.

I believe middle is safest, they say if they are behind the driver seat its good too bc the driver has an instinct naturally to protect their own side of the car.
 BUT I keep him behind the passenger seat because if I had to pull over to check on him, I rather his side be on the shoulder  where noone is driving passed than opening the driver side door to incoming traffic.

I heard middle too, but since my husband is so tall the car seat doesn’t fit in our middle seat without it affecting his ability to drive comfortably. My MIL even commented like “you’re not gonna put him in the middle seat?” Lol 🤷🏻‍♀️
