Is Lyra too close to Lilly?

My cousins daughters name is Lilly. I’m having a girl and brainstorming names. I like Lyra Josephine, but is Lyra too close to Lilly? I’m not too invested in the name Lyra yet and I want to know before I add it to our list lol. My cousin never liked me and always starts trouble so if they’re too close together, I’ll just toss the name to avoid any issues. It’s not worth the trouble.

They aren’t too close in my opinion. They just start with the same letter. I love both the names they’re so cute

Our family is pretty small and very close, so we have an unspoken rule about names where you can't repeat a letter within one generation (meaning that when my aunt was looking for baby names she didn't look at names starting with A, M, or G since she had neices with those names, of that makes sense?) and it's worked out pretty well for us. If you have a larger, more spread out family I would say it was fine, but ultimately it depends on you and what works for your family!

Not at all. But have you seen his dark materials? Maybe would be good to know that the main protagonist there is called Lyra and the show is somewhat of a hit now. Just in case you don't want people to make the connection and maybe call her Lyra Belacqua. 
It's a beautiful name though in my opinion.
