plan b on period?

so i’ve recently done the deed with my boyfriend while i was on my period and he finished inside of me. i know plan b has something to do with pushing back ovulation, but would it work the same if still i’m on my period? how exactly does it work? sorry if it sounds dumb

The way it always worked for me was basically forcing my body to have a period. I’ve taken it three times over the course of 3 years. Every single time I took plan b, I had a period exacly 1 week later. Did not matter if I just finished my period, did not matter where I was in my cycle at all. Always after plan b I had a week until a period. Now your body doesn’t initiate this period, so after that your cycle might be messed up for a while. For example after I had the plan b period, I didn’t have a period for two months. And then my cycle went back to normal. 
It’s different for a lot of people, mostly what they all have on common is that it fucks up your period, and it fucks up your cycle for a few months and you feel like crap. Me personally I had the personality of the hulk and ate everything I could.
