Self inducing labor

Kayle

I am now 37 and a half weeks pregnant with my second child and this is my first boy. This pregnancy has been extremely rough for me. From finding out that my son will have a kidney issue to finding out he’s gonna be a big boy and all the way to my severe anemia issues. It’s safe to say that I am done being pregnant. At my last growth scan he was estimated to be almost 8 pounds and in the 95th percentile, this was at 36 weeks. He is already head down and pretty well engaged and descended. During my 36 week check up I was 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced and they could even feel his head. I am sure I have made more progression as the pressure and pain are daily and severely uncomfortable. Most days I don’t know if the pressure will cause my water to break or me to pee myself. I am a very active person and I’m on my feet most of the day. With my first pregnancy I was not as active and was induced at 40 weeks with her. But I want some advice on ways to help speed up my progression so I can naturally go into labor sooner rather than later. I know he will come when he’s ready but I am so miserable and everything hurts. The pressure his head is causing me is intense and I get lightning crotch pains most of the day and it literally feels like he’s just gonna drop out of there lol. I’m looking for some real advice because I don’t want to be induced again and I would much rather have him come sooner when my fiancé has some time off work cuz he can’t schedule time off very easily due to his type of job.
