Tips - Pickup/To-go - How much?

Just curious... 
I’m a standard 20% + when I dine in. More for great service and less for shitty service. I was a bartender for 6 years (5 years ago now) so I know how it is working for tips. 
My question comes with pickup orders. I’m currently tipping more than usual for pick up/ Togo orders bc I know the service industry is still hurting. How much do you normally tip when picking food up? Like, what was your pre-covid norm? 
If you are currently in the service industry, would do workers expect for pickups?

I've never tipped for pickup or Togo orders and havent started. I only tip when it's a sit-in service and someone actually comes to take my order

No longer in the food industry. Always 20%, or at least $5. I can afford it and I know the couple bucks more can make or break their day, because I was there once. Also, I like not being a dick, and if I couldn’t afford it, I would just cook at home. Eating out, whether in restaurant or picking up or delivered, is a luxury, and you shouldn’t do it if you can’t afford it 🤷🏼‍♀️

My husband and I have always always always tipped regardless if we sit down or pick up. I’m a hairstylist and tips are SO important. We don’t expect them, but are so incredibly thankful when we get them because it makes a huge difference in our weekly income. Because I can relate, I always want any service industry employee to know they are appreciated (chefs included). That’s our personal take on it. And we generally do 15-20%.

Before covid we would always do 20% for local/mom and pop restaurants for to go because the person.taking our order and all that is also usually the one seating/checking people out/etc so they are busy and if they are still pleasant and made sure our order was right we appreciate it. Small staffs make it harder for one employee with several tasks to do phone orders basically. With big chain places we tended to not leave a tip or a small tip since most times we ordered online and paid ahead of time. Most times they also have a person whose only job is greeting and online orders so of all you did was smile as I walk into the door we probably won't tip more than a $1 or 2 at most. If I grab it off a shelf myself which is becoming more common no tip anytime.

Generally about 20% however there are a few local places we gave more too in cash as we knew their buisness were hurting and the people of our community.
