If you have gestational diabetes, what are your favorite bedtime snacks?

I have to eat something near bedtime to avoid waking in the middle of the night nauseated. I ate two handfuls of Quaker mini cheddar rice cakes and a boost blood sugar control shake before bed last night and woke up with a blood sugar of 172!! I have my appointment with my specialist coming up, but until then what are some night time snacks that have worked for you? I’m newly diagnosed and just trying to keep my levels in check for about a week until I see my maternal fetal medicine doc. I also seem to be struggling with "Dawn Phenomena” where my blood sugar is unusually high between 5-8am every morning no matter what I eat and I read eating something low carb/high protein before bed may help with that too. I posted in the gestational diabetes group but that group seems very quiet so I’m hoping to get more advice here.
