10 week old sleep “schedule”
My baby’s pediatrician had told us at his last appointment to start getting him in a routine. I’m not exactly sure how to do this. Our day starts around 5:30 a.m with a feed. I have to bring his daddy to Speedway to ride to work with his uncle. We leave the house between 5:50-6 usually get home by 6:30. Sometimes he sleeps on the ride and sometimes he doesn’t. The only consistent things in my day are the morning ride and the afternoon ride, where we go all the way to his job to pick him up. We usually leave around 3:15 and get back by 4:45-5 pm. On this ride too, sometimes he sleeps but recently he just screams the entire time I’m driving there, and on the way home usually he sleeps but sometimes he doesn’t. Throughout the day I usually just let him sleep whenever he’s tired. I don’t really feel like he stays awake for too long between naps. He doesn’t have those extended wake times like I’m reading they’re supposed to have on Google. He’ll nap, wake up to eat and then go back to sleep. We also don’t really have a feed schedule, other than his feed at 5:30. He usually eats every 2.5-3 hours after that until his last feed which I try to do by 10:30 at the latest. Then he wakes up once during the night to eat. I just don’t know how to start implementing any sort of schedule. Any insight?
