Cabbage for hemorrhoid?

Anyone ever try the cabbage method? I’ve seen a few articles and a video saying that rubbing cabbage or the juice from the veins of a cabbage can get rid of hemorrhoids. Does that also work for the after math of a hemorrhoid? Like when a hemorrhoid is basically gone but the skin from it is left? Does that make sense😂 It’s not hanging skip, but I can hold onto it. I’m not sure if that itself is a hemorrhoid or if that’s the after math because it’s years since I had the hemorrhoid
