How to know if I should give a guy a chance?

My guy friend of a year confessed he like me and so did I. He’s been acting like we’re in a relationship but not committing. He says he’s subside because we have different denomination. I don’t see an issue because we have similar values and same core Christian belief. I really like him but I don’t like being stuck in this weird phase. How do you know if you should just move on or try to make things work?

If it’s already complicated before being in a relationship I wouldn’t bother.

If he says he wants to make it work. If he’s giving you mixed signals then leave him alone. If he’s not willing to put your religion to the side for a relationship then he doesn’t want a relationship

You go to him and tell him you don’t like being uncertain. It’s completely fair for you to want to know where you stand with him. He already doesn’t sound all that great to me but if you like him then 🤷‍♀️
