Nashville trip near end of pregnancy?

Covid aside... friends of ours asked if we would want to go on a 4 day weekend to Nashville end of July/early august. It’s about a 10 hour drive from home. I would be around 33/34 weeks along. Would you go? Mind you this is my 3rd pregnancy my other 2 were right on time. Not high risk, would obviously make sure I didn’t have any problems closer to that time.

If you aren’t high risk and feeling up to it when it comes I would! I would definitely look into birthing hospitals and centers in the area that take your insurance just in case to be extra cautious!!

I live near Nashville so I'm biased when I say no lmao. However, if you feel comfortable doing so I say go for it. We just started having some restrictions lifted within the last few weeks. 
I would make your final decision closer to the trip. With my first I had horrible pelvic separation and it made walking and getting in and out of the car completely miserable. I'm also only 4'11 and looked like an over stuffed penguin by the time I delivered at 36 weeks lol. 
All in all, if YOU feel like its fine to go don't hold yourself back from having fun, consider it a baby moon and live your best life!

I would go! Just make sure you have any important medical documents with you just in case you need to go to a hospital, they have all your records right there to best help you! I’m moving towards the end of my pregnancy and that’s what my doctor suggested for our trip.

Honestly I would. My first 2 were late. If your not a high risk this time then go for it. Worst that could happen you go into labor early and deliver in a different spot then planned. You’ve got this mama trust YOUR instincts.

We went to my BIL’s wedding when I was 38 weeks with my first.  It was a 5 hour car ride each way that despite a bunch of breaks made it so I couldn’t walk for the rest of the pregnancy, or the two weeks after I delivered.  I really wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s a really special event you’d be willing to deal with any weird consequences for (I’d go through it again if I had the choice to be there for the wedding, but there’s only like 2 people I’d do it for).

I would discuss with your OB. I had a 6 hr trip planned in August and my OB asked me to move it to July. She didn’t want me traveling greater than 2 hours after 32 weeks. This is baby number 3 for me and my other two were born at 39.5 and exactly 40 weeks. I don’t have any risk factors either, but I did have a precipitous birth with my last that was less than 4 hours from first contraction to holding baby in my arms 😩

Ugh why would you want to take a long car trip that far along, sounds miserable to me and I drove halfway across the country (moving) at 34 weeks.  Also Nashville is not particularly low Covid, the state is not great at adherence to safety and the hospitals have been VERY full (getting a little better) ... I’m sure this will be unpopular advice but why risk it? If you have kids already it’s not like it’s your last weeks of “freedom”...
