(Almost) 2 year old stopped talking

My son will be 2 at the end of April. Maybe about a month or 2 ago he went from saying any word we asked him to repeat and calling items by their names, to not taking at all. He was also starting to put 2 words together like "thank you". Now, he says nothing. Everyone tells me not to worry, but I am! I should also add that around the same time, he stopped eating, which I'm told is a "phase". The list of foods he will eat is very very small, and he sometimes goes to bed without dinner 😔 Any other mama's have these problems with their littles?
