Wait til 8 week appt for sex?

I called to make my 5 week pp check up (as requested by my doctor) but the receptionist only gave me the option to come in when I'm 8 weeks pp instead, I guess that's all they have open. But it feels like so long and I'm tired of giving bjs😖

6 weeks isn’t set in stone, every body and recovery is different. I waited until getting the all clear from my dr simply because it’s my first delivery and there were some slight issues during my c section but the rest of the recovery was fine. I felt better about it after she looked and felt around in there and said it was all good

My appointment was 3 days after I hit 6 weeks and I didn’t want to wait because I know my body and knew that I would be ok. Bleeding stopped around 4 weeks and I had been working out and feeling normal.

I know the feeling, but I was healed by four weeks. I felt normal and by the time came 5 weeks I had sex before I seen the doctor, and honestly it’s probably better to wait because it feels so different anyhow. When I went to my 6 week pp check up I was completely healed and had the okay to go back to my normal lifestyle, although I didn’t tell her I had already done that. You’re just at high risk for infection if you don’t wait, so it’s just depending on if you want to chance it. OH! Not to mention it’s super likely for you to get pregnant again at this time and you do NOT want to do that.

With all 3 kids we only waited until 5 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️ by that point I was completely healed and done bleeding. Never had any pain or issues.

I had my six week app yesterday and he said since I had no complications or tears I could’ve done whatever my body felt ok for but I did wait til I was cleared to be safe
