im curious how many people actual have looked up every racial slur on their own free time

If I read something that calls another word inappropriate, then I'll Google what it means or where it comes from so I know why. But I don't sit here and just read lists of racial slurs for fun.

I looked up slurs to see what ridiculous phrases people find offensive these days. Some were legitimate slurs, but a lot of them were harmless.

I'm from & still live in a southern state. I've know what racial slurs are & what they mean since I was a child. Down south you experience it every young & sadly very often.

After nearly 4 decades on this planet, I am familiar with the most common racial slurs in this country, and I don’t use them. 
There are other words that I have been on the fence about in the past, not sure if they were offensive. So, I googled them. They were offensive. I removed them from my lexicon. 
Going forward, if I were to use a particular term, and was made aware that it was, in fact, a racial slur, I would apologize profusely, acknowledge my ignorance, hop on google. And never use that word again. 
It’s not that hard, it’s basic human decency.

I’m late to the game cos I’ve not done anything on this app in eons, but what is your intentions behind this poll? Are you trying to start a conversation along the lines of ‘not everyone is aware of every slur’? Cos I have thoughts on that.
But to answer your question, I don’t look up slurs and I don’t use words I don’t know the meaning of.
