Diaper rash??

Hi ladies .. 
My son started getting a rash on his bum, but it has little cuts on it .. so he’s in so much pain when we do diaper changes . We are trying desitin and butt paste currently to help it heal.
Is this a normal thing that happens ?? I’m a ftm and feel so helpless with my baby suffering . Not sure what to do !

Sounds like a yeast rash.  Double check with your dr. When my daughter had one they just told me to get an otc antifungal.

My son has a yeast rash over the summer last year and we tried an anti fungal prescription cream and an anti bacterial prescription cream before it went away. I’d give a call because it can heal so much faster with the prescription stuff

I’m a FTM too! And we went through one hell of a diaper rash/yeast infection situation with my daughter a few weeks ago. We changed her constantly, used butt paste and Aquafor and that still didn’t seem to help! The Dr. ended up prescribing nystatin cream which made a big difference. However, the biggest take away was that we needed to change her diapers and wipes. Maybe check into that? Good luck!! Just know you are not alone! It just sucks!
