How often do you buy your toddler stuff??

Soo... I bought my son an art easel cause it was $20 at IKEA and then I saw a dr kit on amazon for 12 so I'm like gotta get that deal!!! But it's not his bday Christmas obviously.  I already have stuff I got him for easter 😬😬 I dont want him to be spoiled and thinks he gets stuff all the time so I told my husband I think we should just get him stuff for holidays BUT for summer we are wanting a water table and kiddie pool for him lol so am I normal on buying him all this shit hahaha

At this age, I buy things as needed, I don't worry about spoiling. He doesn't seem to notice that I bought something new, I don't think it's spoiling him. Oh, he's climbing on everything? Let's get him an indoor slide. He wants to use utensils? Let's buy kids forks. He sleeps with a blanket now? Let's buy some toddler blankets. He likes cars? Let's buy a car mat. 
Until he gets out of this age of growing fast and needing new things/toys/learning stuff, etc, etc I just buy whenever I see something we need/want/is a good deal. I say you do you! And definitely get a water table ;)

Omg all the time 😬 he’s the baby so he’s soooo spoiled my oldest is 20 and is constantly buying him stuff also .

Our babe is our first so we don’t have an abundance of toys laying around already. So we do buy stuff often. Usually books, and toys that will stick around for the long haul. If I see her expressing interest or developing a new skill I try to find her something to foster that. With our second one on the way, it will be different because instead of buying the toys, I’ll just be pulling them out of storage. But to him it will seem new. I don’t think this age is one to worry about spoiling really.

We buy things as needed. My in laws are very generous though and always send her stuff. To the point where I had to ask them to chill on the gifts because we would get multiple packages a week. Since they always give her new toys, books, etc there isn’t ever a need for us to buy her more.

With my First I bought him toys clothes pretty much  everyday, and now with my second I pretty much buy stuff that she needs. I wasted a lot of money just buying things just because. But I understand with your first it’s like that

Ughhhhh. Me buying everything now. I promised I wouldn’t be this mom but prebaby promises don’t count. 🙃
In all seriousness I want to buy her everything. I feel she doesn’t have enough toys for her age. She has mostly baby stuff that’s boring to her. My husband thinks I buy too many things especially because she doesn’t play too much with them.

Omg I’m in the 2% only holidays lol! We have so many toys and hand-me-downs - I never buy my kids anything except holidays. Oops! 😂
