Can someone explain this to me?

What is this child care credit of $3,600.00 that just passed with the new COVID relief bill?
I tried reading a few articles and I’m still confused. Also are they giving a june babies none, one or two stimulus checks from last year when we file taxes? Thanks.

The new expanded child tax credit is for tax year 2021, so we won’t see that money until we file taxes next year.  When you file taxes this year, you’ll get money for your child from the 2nd stimulus payouts since they weren’t born yet when the first stimulus checks were cut.

I believe I got the two that they put out this year, and also the child relief credit. So $1200 for the stimulus checks and then I think $3,600 back also. All I know is my tax return was the largest I’ve ever seen it and I probably will never get that much back again
