Feeding solids

Hi ladies, I recently had my daughter 4 month check up with her pediatrician and he said next month I should be able to feed her solids. I keep seeing mixed messages about when to start feeding solids.. some say wait until 6 month when they can sit and others say you can start as early as 4 months. She has been watching us eat with her big puppy eyes and I feel bad Haha!
