What’s a c- section like?

I was just recently hit by a semi almost two weeks ago and have a cracked spleen and three broken ribs I’m 26 weeks and 3 days today and was told I’m more than likely not going to be able to give birth naturally like my first one any tips or any ladies wanna give me a heads up on things about a c section I’ve done a little research but doesn’t compare to actual experiences in my opinion

I had an emergency c-section with my twins and a scheduled one with my singleton. Recovery the first time was rough, but I think it’s more because of the amount of weight I gained and the immobility toward the end of my pregnancy. The second one was a much easier recovery. I always tell everyone not to be a superhero, take it easy, and take the meds!  The second day is the most painful, but improves everyday from there. The worst pain I actually experienced was in my shoulder from gas pains. I walked multiple times a day up and down the hall, but I doubt that will be allowed now with covid. I’ll be going in for my third c-section in September.

Csection itself was fine,  quick spinal tap and no pain during the procedure. The recovery was rough thankful I had my husband and mom. Pain killers were so strong even at half of a pill , made ny pressure go up. Barely bleed after giving birth , but couldn't move on my own for a few days. (Ps. Don't sneeze or choke on your saliva while not around ppl 😆 in the first week)

I LOVED my c sections. Don’t stress, it’s pretty simple when planned especially.. You go in, you get your IV, they come in to talk to you (dr, anesthesiologist etc) and then you go in to the OR when planned and like 30-45 minutes later it’s done

I had a c section with my first after being induced. I just wasn’t progressing so I had one because our heart rates started to go up. Everything went smoothly. I did get nauseous and threw up during the procedure, but that doesn’t happen to most people. I started to feel what they were doing as they were stitching me up, but the anesthesiologist gave me some more medication and I was fine. It was weird, but so so so worth it. I’d do it all over again just to hear my baby cry and take his first breaths again. Everything went great after that. Baby was healthy. I was sore the next day, but I had a great nurse who told me to get moving right away, so I was walking around the floor that day. Don’t push yourself too hard, but don’t stay in bed either. You gotta get those muscles working again. My nurse recommended that I don’t use a belly band after the procedure because you want those muscles to heal and get used to being used normally, not to rely on the binder. I slept on the couch for a few days, getting in and out of bed was difficult after. But like I said it was worth it. I am going to try for VBAC now with baby #2, but if I had a c section again for some reason that would be okay. 
My sister in law had a c section with baby #1 after her induction, basically the same as me. But with baby #2 she had a scheduled c section. She said she can’t say enough good things about it. It was much easier than when she was induced and on Pitocin and having mechanical labor all day. She went in the morning, had baby, get great after, and within a week of the procedure she was walking around the block. She said the planned c section was so much easier.

My c section was just fine. Very calm and we were done in about an hour. Get up and move when you can, shower when you can, drink lots of water and insist the nurses help you.

I have had one and having another in June. I had an easy csection. I just recommend getting up and walking as soon as you can. It will keep the soreness down. I was sore for a few days but nothing extreme.

I enjoyed both of my c-sections. Did you have any type of abdominal surgery to repair your spleen? I had my spleen removed and that was worse than either of my c-sections.
