Has anyone skipped the toddler bed and went to a twin bed?

We bought a toddler bed but now are thinking of just skipping it and putting little guy in a twin bed so it’s one less transition later on. Its a lower bed frame so he won’t be high off the floor and we would put on the side guards

With my older guy we went from crib to a full size bed, just because we had a spare in his room from before he was born. Its on the floor so not a far fall and he had rails on it. I kinda wish we woulda gotten a twin instead because the full seems so big that its scary, so he has a ton of pillows in the bed that make it snugglier

We just transitioned his crib to a toddler bed, but we are also going to just go ahead and buy him either a twin or full bed and put side rails on!

I’m currently debating the same of just putting our girl in a twin bed with rails so we can give the crib to our baby due in May. I might just bite the bullet and do it lol

Yes. I really feel like the toddler bed is a waist. But my toddlers are also massive so maybe that’s just me

I think that’s what we’re going to do when he’s ready. We have a convertible crib that converts to a toddler bed but you have to buy the extra pieces. I think we’ll just skip it, but the crib in storage for if/when we have another baby, and buy him a twin sized mattress with rails.

Her crib transitions into a toddler bed, then the back can be used as a headboard when she transitions. So for us it’s not an extra expense. She’s still in the crib so not sure if we will go straight to twin or not.

I think I’m just going to take the front off the the crib when my daughter tries to Climb out (not transitioning her before that happens because why mess with what’s working!!) 
And then I plan on going right to a twin!

I think that’s what we are going to do but it also depends if IKEA gets the bed frame we want in stock. We can convert his crib if needed. I’m also not in a rush to get him out of his crib. We transitioned my older 2 to toddler beds but that was mostly because we were moving in a few months and didn’t want to hassle with changing their bedrooms to pack it all up in a few months.

We have a 4 in 1 crib and will do the toddler bed just because it’s easy and safe. But otherwise, I would just go right to a twin bed with rails. 
Because we have this type of crib we are doing:
Crib until literally as long as we can
Toddler bed if we transition before 3
Full size bed
