Low placenta?

Had anatomy scan today (found out 2nd baby GIRL 🎀) and doc said everything looks good BUT noted my placenta is low and said if that doesn’t change would mean have to cesarean. Doc said not too concerned yet cuz there’s a chance as uterus expands the placenta will wind up higher so they’ll check again in the third trimester. But I have an anxiety problem so naturally I’m going to freak out until then starting now 😬 I know planned cesarean not the end of world but my first was normal labor and I would prefer that way again.

I am going through this right now. Has my anatomy scan last Thursday and everything was great with baby but got a message from my OB that I “may” have a low lying placenta and should refrain from heavy lifting and intercourse. They’ll do another ultrasound at 28 weeks to see if it has moved.

Mine was low with my second and it ended up moving up and I had a normal vaginal birth. I'm in the same boat this time but there's still time so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best!

Yes with my first and my placenta moved by 32 weeks

I had full placenta previa at 21 weeks with my son, and by the time I reached 34 weeks, it was up far enough away from my cervix. Low lying placenta isn’t an issue unless it’s still low lying in the mid-third trimester.

This is exactly what I was told today at my anatomy scan. My doctor told me not to worry as well. 2nd girl and didn’t have this with my first.

Exactly what I was told as well. Except my doctors are following me much more closely & want to recheck in 2 weeks. Could just be because I’m having twins but I have read most move up by 28 weeks. Mine was just discovered at 18 weeks.

I know two people that had a partial previa like that and it moved for them to have a vaginal birth
