Everything is my fault according to my husband. It’s getting a bit ridiculous the things I get blamed for. Here are examples just from today.

My mom was playing with my daughter on the couch. I was standing with my back toward the couch, facing my husband. We were having a conversation. My daughter falls off the couch and hits her head. He says, “What the hell?! I didn’t even see what happened because you were blocking my view.” I didn’t know he needed a view of the couch.

The cat got in our bedroom (because my husband left the door open).I was in bed nursing. My daughter is allergic to the cat, so he isn’t allowed in the bedroom where she sleeps. My husband was trying to get him out from under the bed. Then he realizes the cat is no longer under the bed. Asks me if he ran out. I say I was looking at the baby. I tell him, “don’t worry about it, I will deal with it.” He says he worries about it because his daughter is allergic. Then he storms out of the room saying he was working to get the cat out but I couldn’t be bothered to pay attention, and he slams the door.

He’s doing the dishes. Even though the lunch I made him is getting cold on the counter. I tell him not to worry about the dishes, that I will do them. He ignores me. A few minutes later he asks if there are any dirty dishes laying around. I go to the living room and check. I tell him there aren’t any more. A minute later, he finds a dish on the island behind him and flips out. “What the hell?’ I asked you if there were any dishes. There’s one right here!” I tell him I thought he would be more aware of the ones immediately surrounding him.

Not to mention he threw a fit when I changed the towels in the bathroom this morning. I always change the towels when I clean the bathroom. I had told him I was going to clean the bathroom. Apparently he had already replaced them when gathering laundry. It was like I had committed a crime.

Not sure what the deal is with his attitude today, but I’m over it. He’s had plenty of time to watch YouTube and do what he wants today. I have wrangled both kids, like I do every day. He said he had been holding our daughter nonstop for 4 hours. FALSE. He held her off and on while I cooked, which I cooked for an hour and a half. The freaking drama. 🤦‍♀️
