He told me if I had pain to call him immediately

I have PCOS and a pretty big cyst on my left ovary, I have an appointment on the 19th because he said if it hasn’t gone away by then he’s doing surgery.

He said that while we are waiting for the cyst to go away, that if I start experiencing pain I need to call him immediately.

I don’t know what it feels like when an ovarian cyst full of blood ruptures but I just had the worst pain in my left hip. Sharp burning pains that took me down and it felt like my entire left pelvis was just on fire, searing pain shooting to my back.

I laid down and breathed and the pain has gone down exactly to what it felt like the day my gyno found it. He found it through pelvic exam and ultrasound and he pushed it around and it pissed it off and hurt for 2 days.

That pain earlier though was scary. I don’t know what to think. The source was exactly where that cyst was. This cyst is so large that I FELT it move around during the pelvic exam

I’m not bleeding. The type of ovarian cyst i have.. it’s basically just a huge sack full of blood. I didn’t ask him what it would be like if it ruptured but I figure there’d be some vaginal bleeding and there’s not.

I’m not really sure what I should do. I tried reaching an on call doctor but they don’t have one. If the pain is mild right now should I still go to the ER?
